In addition to a wide range of leading international brands from the luxury market, the showroom also features designs created and produced entirely in-house. ‘The showroom was designed to inspire and the options really are endless,’ says Nickel. ‘We don' t buy to sell; we carefully curate the materials we need for a project and only buy what we need. We qui te l i teral ly helped lay the f i rst stone in the restorat ion of the Royal Wait ing Room at Amsterdam Central Stat ion. Naast dit uitgebreide en brede assortiment van internationale topmerken uit het high-end maatwerksegment, bewonder je in de showroom de eigen ontwerpen en productie. Nickel: “De showroom is ter inspiratie, want de mogelijkheden zijn oneindig. We kopen niet in om te verkopen, we stellen de materialen samen voor het project en kopen wat nodig is. Voor de natuursteentegels werken we bijvoorbeeld samen met groeves, zodat we de beste maatwerkoplossingen kunnen bieden.” Nostalgisch gevoel Verlichte wanden van onyx, marmer of kristal in de badkamer, een visgraat keukenvloer met wit kristal dat moeiteloos overvloeit in hout parket: Piastrelle ontwerpt en produceert het. Naast nieuwbouwprojecten, verbouwingen en renovaties is er nóg een tak waarin Piastrelle uitblinkt en veel ervaring heeft. Nickel: “Onze interieuroplossingen op maat zetten we ook in bij het restaureren van oude interieurs, bijvoorbeeld oud-marmeren tegels en lambriseringen in de Amsterdamse grachtenpanden. Aan het herstel van de koninklijke wachtkamer van het Centraal Station hebben we eveneens letterlijk ons steentje bijgedragen.
